A Estrada - The Path

Sou a menina do Dia e a amante louca da Noite; sou o alívio e o açoite, e a carne esfacelada.
Sou a abelha rainha, venha provar do meu mel, pois dentro do meu casulo, Você estará no céu!
Realizo a caminhada; sem precisar me cansar; percorro vários caminhos; o importante é o Caminhar.
Sou o Rei e a Rainha; sou o súdito e o reinado; sou a Coroa e a Forca, o Algoz e o Enforcado.
Me traga no coração prá me deixar encantada. Não me esqueça e me honre com sua gentil chamada, grite bem alto o meu nome. Me chame, me chame, eu sou a sua cigana estrada..."

Sagitariana - Sagittarius

Thank You - Obrigada

Ela agradece pelas rachaduras  e as cicatrizes...

A Semente Profunda - The Deep Seed

Sêmen

Nos antigos rincões da mata virgem
Foi um sêmen plantado com meu nome
E a raiz de tão dura ninguém come
E eu
Não sei o que fazer
Nesta situação
Meu pé...
Meu pé não pisa o chão.

Tua Voz - Your Voice

"Dissestes que se tua voz
Tivesse força igual
À imensa dor que sentes
Teu grito acordaria
Não só a tua casa
Mas a vizinhança inteira…

E há tempos
Nem os santos têm ao certo
A medida da maldade
E há tempos são os jovens
Que adoecem
E há tempos
O encanto está ausente
E há ferrugem nos sorrisos
Só o acaso estende os braços
A quem procura
Abrigo e proteção…"

A Woman - Uma Mulher

E eu fui culpada
E eu me submeti

E eu senti vergonha,
E me submeti,
Estou dando duro para remendar a nossa união.
E eu fui culpada,
E eu me submeti,

"A Man"
I am a man as a man I've been told
Bacon is brought to the house in this mold
Born of your bellies I yearn for the cord
Years I have groveled, repentance ignored
And I have been blamed and I have repented
I'm working my way toward our union mended

I am man who has grown from a son
Been crucified by enraged women
I am son who was raised by such men
I'm often reminded of the fools I'm among
And I have been shamed
and I have relented
I'm working my way toward our union mended
And I have been shamed
and I have repented
I'm working my way toward our union mended

We don't fare well with endless reprimands, and
We don't do well with a life served as a sentence, and
This won't end well if you're hell bent on your offense
'Cause I am a man who understands your 'resistance'
I am a man who still does what he can
To dispel our archaic reputation
I am a man who has heard all he can
'Cuz I don't fare well with endless punishment

'Cuz I have been blamed and I have repented
I'm working my way toward our union mended
And we have been blamed and we have repented
I'm working my way toward our union mended
We don't fare well with endless reprimands
And we don't do well with a life served as a sentence
And this won't work well if you're hell bent on your offense
'Cause I am a man who understands your reticence

A Puta Parindo - The Whore Giving Birth

Oxum

I went inside the world that they made for you, grandma. It was a
world made for monsters. The real monsters that never really came down here. They made assumptions about your love, about our story, about the grace you guarded safely in my humble glory.
One and new.
If you didn´t know before, now you do....
Your innocence is always true. You told me to take my angels and bring it back to mom as if I was you.
I wish you told me more about the world I didn´t know, unless through you.
Maybe I would have been as good as a grandma you are for me and my children, they will forever echo your love and the home you built in your heart for me. I´m so Thankful...
It reflects the darkness as gold, like your mama Oxum...

Anger - Raiva

"My anger is potentially a great ALLY to me. It is my job to use it wisely as a SACRED gift and power.
May I use my anger as healing FLAME to burn off that which no longer serves me and not as a destructive fire that harms myself or others.
May I respect my anger as a PROTECTIVE force within me, as my passion for life and as a boundary-setter.
May I harness the gift of my anger to LIBERATE myself and awaken from the ways in which I might have deceived myself, been asleep or uncourageous.
May I learn to listen to and transform my anger into a POSITIVE force for good."

Love, Dja

O Guia Dentro - The Guide Inside

Love, Dja

Nahko and Medicine for the People – Aloha Ke Akua

Lend your ears, lend your hands,
Lend your movement, anything you can.
Come to teach, come to be taught.
Come in the likeness in the image of God.
Cause, you can be like that.
With all that humbleness, and all that respect.

All of the power invested in me,
be it hard to love my enemies.
All of the black bags over the heads of the dead and dying.

The more I understand about the human race,
the less I comprehend about our purpose and place
and maybe if there was a clearer line
the curiosity would satisfy.

Time based prophecies that kept me from living,
in the moment I am struggling
to trust the divinity of all the guides
and what the hell they have planned for us.

I cry for the creatures who get left behind
but everything will change in a blink of an eye
and if you wish to survive,
you will find the guide inside.

I go back and forth every single day,
the clarity that comes to me in a choppy way,
as the feelings and the places
and the seasons change,
the galaxies remain.

Energy fields cone the body in space.
The angels that are coming from a spiritual waste.
The hate that gets me distant from my spiritual pace.
Ten fold the manna when the planets are in place, in polar alignment.
We’re on assignment.
Bodies on consignment.
Return them to the circus.

And what is the purpose?
What is the purpose and would you believe it?
Would you believe it
if you knew what you were for
and how you became so informed?

Bodies of info performing such miracles.
I am a miracle made up of particles
and in this existence,
I’ll stay persistent,
and I’ll make a difference
and I will have lived it.

Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua,
Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana.
Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua,
Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana.

Each day that I wake,
I will praise, I will praise.
Each day that I wake,
I give thanks, I give thanks.
Each day that I wake,
I will praise, I will praise.
Each day that I wake,
I give thanks, I give thanks.

And the day that I don’t wake up
and transcend the holy make-up,
I am capable, I am powerful.
And the day that I don’t wake up
and transcend the holy makeup,
I am on my way to a different place….

I’m not a leader, just a creature,
seeking the features of a teacher.
Whether you follow or whether you lead
All mysterious ways of nature and I’m into it.
Changing management.

And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis,
my stubbornness is bottomless,
my fearlessness is talking shit
and I’m wide awake and I’m taking names.

I am not a leader, just a creature.
Seeking the features of a teacher.
Whether you follow or whether you lead
All mysterious ways of nature and I’m into it.
I’m into it.
Changing management.

And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis,
my stubbornness is bottomless,
my fearlessness is talking shit
and I am wide awake.
And I’m taking names.

And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis,
my stubbornness is bottomless,
my fearlessness is talking shit,
and I’m wide awake and I’m taking names.

Do you speak to me like you speak to God?
All of the love and understanding between the father and the son?
Do you believe in the perfectness of where you are?
These are my people, these are my children,
this is the land that I would fight for.

My solidarity is telling me to patiently
be moving the musical medicine around the planet in a hurry,
Cuz there’s no time to waste.
Got to wake up the people time to stand up and say,
we know what we are for
and how we became so informed.
Bodies of info, performing such miracles.
I am a miracle, made up of particles
and in this existence,
I’ll stay persistent
and I’ll make a difference
and I will have lived it. ……..

Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua,
Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana.
Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua,
Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana.

Each day that I wake,
I will praise, I will praise.
Each day that I wake,
I give thanks, I give thanks.
Each day that I wake,
I will praise, I will praise.
Each day that I wake,
I give thanks, I give thanks.

And the day that I don’t wake up
and transcend the holy make-up,
I am capable, Hm that’s right,
I am powerful.
And the day that I don’t wake up and transcend the holy make-up,
I am on my way to a different place!

Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua,
Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana.

É o Que Me Interessa - What I Care About

Daqui desse momento
Do meu olhar pra fora
O mundo é só miragem
A sombra do futuro
A sobra do passado
Assombram a paisagem

Quem vai virar o jogo
E transformar a perda
Em nossa recompensa
Quando eu olhar pro lado
Eu quero estar cercado
Só de quem me interessa.

Às vezes é um instante
A tarde faz silêncio
O vento sopra a meu favor
Me traz o seu sossego
Atrasa o meu relógio
Acalma a minha pressa
Me dá sua palavra
Sussurra em meu ouvido
Só o que me interessa.

A lógica do vento
O caos do pensamento
A paz na solidão
A órbita do tempo
A pausa do retrato
A voz da intuição
A curva do universo
A fórmula do acaso
O alcance da promessa
O salto do desejo
O agora e o infinito
Só o que me interessa.

A Graceful Answer - Uma Resposta Cheia The Graça

I remember you said once that neutrality is next to godliness. What daily practices can you recommend from your own experience to bring this to life? Asked on 07/16/14 by Filip Galetic

Answer From Alanis
Thanks for your question.
I have a couple of rituals that bring me to this neutrality….
1–If i have a heavy feeling in me….a healthy vent-sesh with a friend helps..just to get that current of energy (anger, frustration, disappointment, grief…etc) moving in a constructive way. My friends and I offer this to each other..sometimes on a bicycle…sometimes in a sauna…sometimes after dinner (i don’t recommend doing it while you eat!)…..whenever the person listening (their blessed souls!) is ready for it….and up for it. And this offer always goes both ways. Alison Armstrong calls this generous listening “holding the bucket” for someone. It is a deeply generous act…one that helps the sharer stay physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy–and clear.
2–I journal my face off and I don’t mince words (cut to me, as a kid, throwing my journals in the fireplace after my mom found one once…these days, they are hidden away :). i just go for it. This moves the energy. and clarifies.
3—Deep breathing helps. but NOT if it is a way to shove something under the rug. Only as a way to send the message to these feelings that i am here, in my body, and ready to listen.
4–Talking to “parts of myself.” Carl Jung, and in a more modern way, Debbie Ford, among others, have heralded the virtues of speaking with various aspects of ourselves to find the answers we seek…and the visions that will guide us (including the wish for neutrality and…ultimately..what neutrality provides us…which is a sense of peace.).
it looks something like this, for me:
I ask the part of me that clearly needs attention (maybe it will be “the part of me that is enraged”, or “the part of me that knows the answer to this 5 years from now” or “the part of me that is deeply wise” or “the part of me that is heartbroken” etc.)
i visualize this part of me sitting across from me, and i ask “them” these questions (i then get pin-drop silent and listen to the answers they give me, sometimes in the form of words, or feelings in my body…or a symbol or picture):
1–what wisdom or insight do you have for me
2–what do you need from me
3–what action can i take to give you what you need
4–is there anything else you need me to know
i do the above ritual so often i can do it in 20 seconds now, in my car, in the shower, a bathroom stall…wherever, whenever i need some clarity about something i am stuck around. I make sure that i include “the opposite part” of the first part i “speak with”. So…as an example: if i speak with the part of me that is scared. I make sure when i am done i speak to the part of me that is deeply courageous as well. there often is a whole other set of answers that emerge when we engage with the opposite part of the challenge that is very helpful.
5—sometimes, (and only sometimes, it would be up to you to gauge whether the following is a way to disassociate or a way to help) i find “taking a break” from the intensity helps…i go pet my three puppies…i sit in the sun….i take a shower (water helps me)….i watch an episode of something that cracks me up. the shift in perspective and “getting outside myself” can help me see things differently when i return to them. this especially helps when i have been overthinking something.
6–sometimes the best thing to do is to reach out to someone who loves you well. and is wise. and empathic. and wants for you what you want for you. sometimes the best thing to do is to ask someone for help. we need each other as human beings. our hearts, bodies, brains, and souls benefit from this sacred interdependence. we can avail ourselves of the friends and mentors we have all around us in our times of need. and of course we would offer the same right back when appropriate. xo
there are many more, but these are the top ones off the top of my head. big hug! xo

A Graceful Answer - Uma Resposta Cheia The Graça

What do you think we can do to address gender-based violence in our culture? How do we get to the root of healing this violence in our society? Asked on 07/16/14 by Carrie Parsons

Answer From Alanis
I love your question. I believe that violence, toward both genders, is something that lies at the heart of all things that break our hearts as a nation and as a world. This violence is NOT just what we see on television, in movies, in dramatic plays etc. This is a violence of ALL forms. and it starts with how we view our very selves. How we treat ourselves. This violence we “see” in the world is an extension of the violence we feel toward our own selves. I see two forms of actings-out in the world: the one born from the acting-out of our own self-hatred on Others; and the other the acting-out of sublimated rage (whether it be because we have collapsed and want to “rise up”, feel an empowerment, albeit a short-lived one that often comes with great destruction and consequence when it is a violent acting out). The latter is when someone “snaps” for having tolerated too much incoming violence. We are subject, at any given time to any of these, with how human we are. when this violence (or, as i call it, this “current of intense energy”) is acted out in “healthy” environments (therapy, art, with safe and non-judgmental others)…the current can move in a way that it needs to, and it can soften our hearts from this healthy expression. When it is acted out in chaotic and violent ways that are destructive, so much War begins. and the fall-out of that war, that power struggle.
So if there are ways we can invite each other to be responsible with our anger, I would encourage that. if we can see how stunning and powerful and important anger is….and how HUMAN it is, perhaps we can come up with ways to move it that won’t harm others, or ourselves. When we resist this stunning force of anger…it shows up in our reactivity, our acting out of revenge, our physical health declining, and our emotional health being compromised. All of these disconnections from god, others and ourselves leaves us feeling lonelier, angrier, more helpless and more disempowered. it simply doesn’t work. and often starts the irreparable war that we can loop through for years, at our own peril.
Often people feel as though they are “innately BAD” if they express or feel anger. This often came from us being taught that we WERE our behavior. We coupled those two together: if we did a behavior that was deemed “bad” then somehow WE were “bad”. as opposed to being innately good (i think our innate goodness is the ONE thing not subject to duality in this world, in that this does not mean that “if we are good, then therefore we must embrace its opposite and claim our “badness”…) and the behavior not working in any given context (example: hurling paint at someone at a paintball place is hilarious, hurling paint at a passerby in new york while you are painting a building is, well, not a cool behavior.—so if context is everything…then it would be safe to say that any given behavior in and of itself is SUBJECT to that context….and can’t inherently be good or bad. but rather a behavior that WORKS (given the context) or DOESN’T work. We can un-couple behavior from the person’s beingness.
–How this relates to anger is that anger is a feeling, a current of energy….it is wanting our attention…for us to see what need has not been met, what value system is being questioned or lived outside of, where have we repressed our view of how life is best lived….anger is attempting to get our attention. so to sublimate it is dangerous. T think a lot of people sublimate anger because of how we have seen it ACT OUT destructively. not because of the feeling itself.
A few ways to have anger be our friend:
1) find out what it is asking of you….
2) what way can i “move” this energy that won’t hurt others or myself?
3) what have i been sublimating or ignoring or resisting…the realization of which could liberate me toward making more empowered choices for myself and my loved ones, in areas i can control.
4) sometimes anger is also an invitation into seeing where we have control or where we don’t. which can beg for us to embrace our powerlessness and helplessness (tough ones!) in any given situation outside of our control. interestingly, surrendering often ushers us to a new perspective of what we CAN proactively do…what we can address that IS within our control. this rat in a cage feeling of rage born from helplessness is something we are often taught early in our lives. some people’s survival strategy is to barrel through and attempt to control the uncontrollable. others of us have the survival strategy that has us buckle and collapse at the first sign of challenge… BOTH of these strategies set us up for a lifetime of perpetual anger…
All this to say, that this violence we’re looking at is how we deal with this current of anger in our lives. and reactions to fear (whether appropriately interpreted or not).
If we can be responsible for these feelings (anger…and frankly ALL feelings…disappointment, terror etc) then we are in a better position to come up with how to channel them. Move them. So we can come out on the other side more awake, more loving, more conscious….more allowing of our precious human-ness.  This is what I think when I hear the word “responsible”. to me, it’s the capacity and willingness and ability I have to feel all my feelings all the way through…so that they don’t take control of me and my life, but rather, that i am their sponsor….their director….their guider. What a world we would live in if we all took how we were feeling, felt it…and came out on the other side with a mission or an action to take that was merciful and empowered and clear…rather than destructive, combative and separatist (which is truly the nightmare we all say we don’t want.)

Vigilant - Vigilante

Who is vigilant of our shared story?
Who comes and goes when
Time is asking for
~Short term and long term wounds~
Despite the evidence and our memory?
Who laid out the choices?
Who made way across the field
And through that road of dirt
Sang my words in many voices?
We carved, touching the nerve in surgery
Operating our crafts
~Knowing where to pull and
What to correct~
So we moved in the waves
Of our hand made and heart felt melody.
Training the movements of a thought
Placing a check point with love knots
Retreating during the day
At night, advancing our plot
Knowing we said enough with only one shot.
If you came for a do over,
Make not an invention that erases wounds,
Instead, tell me where it hurts
Tell me how you felt at the time I missed you.
There you may find your own peace at last
~My last kiss and the cut
Most profound...~

Versões De Violência - Versions Of Violence

"Versions Of Violence" (A.M.)

Coercing or leaving
Shutting down and punishing
Running from rooms, defending
Withholding, justifying

These versions of violence
Sometimes subtle sometimes clear
And the ones that go unnoticed
Still leave their mark once disappeared

Diagnosing, analyzing
Unsolicited advice
Explaining and controlling,
Judging opining and meddling

This labeling
This pointing
this sensitive's unraveling
This sting I've been ignoring
I feel it way down way down

These versions of violence
Sometimes subtle sometimes clear
And the ones that go unnoticed
Still leave their mark once disappeared

Desconectado - Disconnected

Alguns aqui adoram dar pitaco, outros nao metem a colher.

Love Beyond Dislikes - Amor Além De Desgostos

Gratitude
If there are people in your life that you don’t like, the negative energy vibrations you transmit toward them drag down your positive vibes, and you end up lower down on the “vibes scale” than you want to be. For example, let’s say on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 is your highest positive vibration, and 1 will be your most negative.
Even if you have high vibes with most people in your life, just having one person you don’t like can drag your vibes down to a lower level.
It is in your best interest to find a way to be grateful to all people–yes, even if you hate them, even if they drive you crazy, even if you are completely justified in hating them because of their unspeakably heinous behavior towards you.

Here are five keys to transform your perspective.

1. Discover the Root of the Problem

The first step is to spend time with yourself and look into what happens to you when this particular person sets you off. Take the focus off them and shine the light fairly and squarely on yourself. You probably find you’re filled with a turmoil of emotions: anger, frustration, irritation, hurt, disappointment and so on. Allow these emotions to be there with non-judgment and compassion for yourself.
As you stay present to your emotions, they dissolve and you quickly re-discover your inner peace, clarity of mind and well-being. In addition, your sense of humor, and creativity return. From this place of wisdom and clarity, you can start to move into compassion and understand that the other person is living in pain and fear and doesn’t know a better way to behave.

2. Focus on the Good

Most people have some redeeming qualities, although in certain cases they are quite hidden from view. Assume the good qualities are in there, somewhere, because they are. Remember that everyone is born filled with love, joy, and inner peace. Somewhere in their life (for many people it’s because of an abusive childhood), this person has lost their way and become disconnected from the source of love. They have become trapped in a cycle of abuse–toward themselves and others.
Send this person vibrations of love. Pray for them. Ask that they will find their way back to the light. This does not mean that what they did to you was okay. It doesn’t mean that you have to spend time with them, or even have them in your life. It doesn’t mean that you are the person to help them.
It does mean, however, that you raise your positive vibration level.

3. Create Boundaries

One of the reasons people irritate us and get under our skin is because we don’t make our boundaries clear. It’s important to be clear about what is acceptable behavior toward us and what isn’t. This means we have to speak our truth, no matter what.
Everyone in your life should be respectful, friendly and courteous towards you. If they are not, it’s up to you to address the issue. Always make sure that you are respectful, kind and courteous towards others.

4. Mind Your Vibration

We get what we vibrate. If we speak to people in anger, that’s what we get back. If we are disrespectful, mean and insincere, that’s what we get back.
Allow your turbulent emotions to pass through you and, when you feel calm and relaxed, have a conversation with the person you don’t like, or write them an email or a letter. Communicate what you want with clarity, friendliness, and respect.
The more clearly you ask for what you want, the more likely you are to get it.
The number one reason you are doing this, remember, is to shift your vibrational level higher up the scale. With most people you get a positive response, but not always. Hold the faith, because the transformation in you is miraculous, irrespective of how the other person responds.

5. Understand the Power of Love

When we take 100 percent responsibility for what is happening inside of us, miracles happen. We find it easy to be grateful because we have transformed dislike into compassion.
Love is recognizing ourselves in the other.
On one level we are physical form and psychological makeup. On a deeper level we are all the consciousness of oneness. Love is the recognition of our oneness. Compassion, the highest form of love, then arises in us.

Painho

Você me trouxe de volta à mãe terra.

You brought me back to mother earth. Showed me how to find and see her beauty. As a little girl I would carefully observe your eyes searching the horizon, your long hair gently blowing on the wind, your skilled hands catching our fish. I recall our bare feet running infinite races, our genderless power conquering trees, rivers and seas. You are my hero.. I remember how it feels to fly because you threw me high in the sky so that I could fall and dive gracefully within myself. Jumping off your shoulders into the clear waters of our beaches only served to let me know I could jump and swim into anything... When I was a little girl, you sang me songs of change, you showed me the meaning behind the veils of great lyrics, you gave birth to my intellectual Bohemia and critical questioning, certain that I would learn anything my mind seeks. Thank you!! You dad, you encouraged me to debate for justice, to be clear with my words, poetic in my deliverance, and to honor the great spirit in everyone. Dad, you never told me what to do, but you sure thought me how to admire what is simple. Every time I meditate on natural and simplicity, I see your face first. Please know, your presence and love shaped most of the beauty I can still see in myself, it remains agelessly. It's because of you that I often go experience peace in nature. It's because of you that I found peace in being alone, when I have to. It's because of you that I enjoy reading and teaching myself and my children of a life of joy for what it is. It's because of you too that I feel so blessed... It's my hope and happiness that you keep the Indian alive within. He's a wise man speaking through you... I'm privileged to be your daughter, forever the little girl of "Valsa Para Uma Menininha" song ... Eternamente grata pelo teu existir, Nine. Te Amo

Menininha do meu coração
Eu só quero você
A três palmos do chão
Menininha não cresça mais não
Fique pequenininha
Na minha canção
Senhorinha levada
Batendo palminha
Fingindo asustada do bixo papão
Menininha que graça é você
Uma coisinha assim começando a viver
Fique assim meu amor sem crescer
Porque o mundo é ruim
É ruim e você vai sofrer de repente
Uma desilusão
Porque a vida é somente teu bixo papão
Fique assim, fique assim, sempre assim
E se lembre de mim
Pelas coisas que eu dei
E também não se esqueça de mim
Quando você souber em fim
De tudo que eu amei.
